    Changes you must be aware of

  • Change in the size of one breast
  • Nipple is pulled in or changed in position or shape
  • Rash on or around the nipples
  • Discharge from one or both nipples
  • Puckering or dimpling of the skin
  • Swelling under your armpit or around your collar bone
  • Lump or thickening in your breast that feels different from the rest of the breast tissue

  • Family history of breast cancer (blood relatives with breast cancer)
  • Early onset of menstrual period (before age 12)
  • Late menopause (after age 55)
  • Not having children & having first child after age 30
  • Long term use of Hormone replacement therapy

  • Previously diagnosed Cancer in the same or other Breast

    What you can do?

  • Women 20 and over should perform breast self-examinations every month
  • Women 20 to 40 should have a clinical breast examinations every three years, and women 40 and over should have one every year
  • Women 35 to 40 should have a baseline reference mammogram
  • Women 40 and over should have a mammogram every one to two years
